Myles started his career at September Sound and Metropolis studios, but settled at Strongroom Studios for his time as assistant. He broke away in 2003 and, after a short while as freelance engineer, was soon offered a full time position as Chief Engineer at Pete Townshend'sOceanic Studios, Twickenham. This position involved a huge variety of projects, such as Live mixing every show of the last Who world tour (stereo and 5.1), development of the Lifehouse Method generative music project (including production of Lawrence Ball's 'Method Music' album), and The Who's 'Endless Wire' album and the 'Wire and Glass' mini-opera (Polydor 2006). Despite credits in the technical side of music production, Myles' is primarily a musician and writer.
Myles is currently writing for and producing the Machinegunners project alongside Matthew Grist www.myspace.com/machinegunnerspace and is also programming and engineering with Zak Starkey and his band Penguins.
Other recent projects include engineering for Marius de Vries on Teddy Thompson and Rod Stewart sessions.
